A quick note on Heartbleed

Just a quickie on the Heartbleed virus. The Ethical Kink site was unaffected (thank goodness) since we use Paypal as our secure payment service and they were one of the few not to have a problem. However you might like to consider changing your passwords on the sites you use that contain your sensitive or financial info.

Here is some more info:

“A bug has been found in Open SSL which is used by servers throughout the world. It affects secure sites the HTTPS type, and allows names, passwords, credit card numbers and secure information to be leaked. Servers include Google, Bitcoin, Amazon, Yahoo mail, Facebook, Youtube, Wikipedia, Twitter, Linkedin, Blogspot, WordPress, Bing, Pinterest, Ask, Tumblr, BBC, Mozilla, Adobe. There are hundreds more.

Microsoft.com and Apple.com are not affected and it appears neither is Ebay, RBS, Sainsbury, HSBC or Paypal, probably lots more.

Most of the well known sites affected have now been updated against the problem, so passwords can be changed.
